A frank, gentle guide to recognising when, what to expect, and how we help.

When is it time?
We use quality-of-life scales:
- Eating and drinking
- Mobility - can they get to water, litter, outside?
- Pain control - adequate or breaking through?
- Hygiene - clean and dignified or distressed?
- Joy - interested in family, surroundings?
- More good days than bad?
Hospice care first
For many pets, weeks of hospice (pain control, anti-nausea, appetite support, mobility aids) gives quality time before euthanasia.
What euthanasia involves
A sedative first - your pet relaxes deeply, no distress. Then a final anaesthetic at high dose - peaceful, fast.
At home or at clinic
We offer both. Family members can be present either way.
After
We handle aftercare per your wishes - cremation arrangements, paw print keepsakes, memorial options.
You are not alone
Grief from pet loss is real. Your pet had a good life because of you.

Frequently asked
With proper sedation, no. They relax deeply before the final injection.
Personal choice. Many find it helps closure. We support either.
